When Website Access Is Needed for Local SEO Work

An external audit can identify many issues. Implementing technical, content and measurement changes requires the relevant delegated access.

Public review can start without a login

A provider can inspect crawlable pages, visible metadata, internal links, mobile behaviour, public structured data and the customer journey. Search Console and analytics evidence will remain unavailable at this stage.

Implementation requires system-specific access

Editing pages needs CMS or code access. DNS or server changes need authorised hosting access. Search performance and indexation diagnostics need Search Console access, while conversion setup may need analytics or tag-manager permissions.

Use the least access required

Do not share a master password. Create a suitable user or delegated role, protect it with individual authentication, record the purpose and remove it when the approved work ends.
